Home › Stamped & Decorative Concrete
A decorative driveway is still a driveway — it lives or dies on the base and drainage under it. We build the engineering first, then put the finish you actually want on top.
Stamped concrete reads as stone, slate, or pavers — one continuous engineered slab, so nothing heaves out of line individually the way pavers do in Utah frost. Integral color runs through the whole pour rather than sitting on the surface. Exposed aggregate trades pattern for texture: natural stone look, serious traction, very forgiving of mountain winters. Borders, bands, and combinations of all three let a driveway match the house instead of fighting it.
On Park City, Midway, Heber, and Alpine homes, the driveway is part of the architecture and a visible slice of the property's value. A stamped or exposed-aggregate driveway typically adds a few dollars per square foot over a broom finish — small against what it does for the front of the house. On steep grades we'll steer you honestly: stamped surfaces need traction additives on slopes, and sometimes exposed aggregate is simply the better answer.
Decorative concrete needs resealing every two to four years to keep color and protect the surface — a half-day job, not a renovation. We'll tell you the real maintenance picture at the consult, because a finish you won't maintain is the wrong finish to buy.
Smooth stamped surfaces can be when wet or icy — on grades we add traction additives to the sealer or recommend exposed aggregate instead. We'll be straight about what fits your slope.
Every 2–4 years depending on sun, salt, and plowing. Skip it long enough and color fades and the surface opens up — budget for it as part of owning the finish.
Typically a few dollars more per square foot than a broom finish — pattern, color count, and borders drive the range. The free consult comes with samples and a firm written number.
Yes — snowmelt tubing sits in or under the slab regardless of the surface finish, and heated decorative driveways are one of our most common Park City and Midway requests.
